So today I am waiting for my boss to get in to get our support contract number and the executive who has the Surface to call up Microsoft again and hopefully get some sort of help. Enterprise would only work with me if I had our Microsoft service contract number (Which my boss has but she was out on vacation) and would not get information to try and look it up or go any further without that, of course I could pay them and then they would look at it.

Maybe it is just me but if you have spent a total of 6 hours of support time with one group then get sent over to another group you shouldn't be turned away. Finally they tried pushing me over to the "Enterprise" section because the computer was logged into an Active Directory domain (Which to me seems like the major selling point of these to businesses and why it is "Pro"). So I contacted support again and we went through more troubleshooting with no fix. When contacting technical support the first time we got to the point where they had me return the dock and order a new one (If I did just a straight up replacement they will only send out a refurbished). In the end we could plug the USB to DP in and it would work but keyboards, mice, and thumb drives couldn't be recognized (they however do work when plugged into the USB port on the Surface itself).

Instantly we had an issue, when we plugged the Surface into the dock there came up a Unknown USB Device with the error that it couldn't get the USB device code (I can't remember the exact syntax at the moment) in the Device Manager. When the docking stations came out we ordered one, along with a USB 3.0 to DisplayPort converter so he could keep using his dual screen configuration.

I am IT for a company and recently for one of the executives we have been testing out a Surface Pro 3 which he has liked.

I figured I would give some people a heads up and possibly get some help from the community on this issue.
